Enter the gate of the World of Warcraft
Most of us know Blizzard or know their games or work. Diablo,
Starcraft, Warcraft you know those great games. Blizzard has
been developing this game for about three years now and it's
finally come out! Well Blizzard fans it's been a LONG three
years and it's finally payed off!
This game is gorgeous. Comparing to some of Blizzard's past
games their graphics have improved over the years. All of the
equipment, clothes, weapons, armor, spells, characters, and
monsters are all very beautiful. But the cool areas in World of
Warcraft are the cities and environments. The snow in the city
Ironforge, The huge castles down at Stormwind City, the huge
deserts that seem so big you think they never end in the Barrons,
The creepy monsters down in the crypts. You also have your
portrait/ picture at the bottom of your screen along with
everything else at the bottom. I think this game should get
awarded for best graphics!
This game's music is brilliant. I haven't had a song that I have
not liked yet. All the sounds seem to fit where they belong. The
spell casting and weapon clashing all seem very realistic. I
love the sound in this game but their is only one problem i have
with it. There is a lack of voice references in this game. Every
player will seem to have the same voice unless if your a male or
a female then no. Other then that the sound totally blew my
speakers out.
The controls in CPU games or just basic stuff you learn from
other games. You can get the hang of it in about ten or twenty
minutes. Up is foreword, down is backward, left makes you move
left or turn left, right makes you move right or turn right. You
click on right of the mouse to target and attack an enemy. Press
space to jump. Pretty basic standard controls here.
Usually in MMORPG's (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Paying
Game) There isn't much of a story but this story consists of two
factions who don't like each other the Alliance who has the
Humans, Dwarfs, Night Elves, and the Gnome while the Horde has
the Orc, Tauren, Undead, and the Troll. These factions fight
each other to come out the dominant faction. If the Alliance
wins they kill the Horde forever but if the Horde wins all of
the Alliance will die.
This is where the real fun begins of World of Warcraft! You have
the choosing of picking either faction The Alliance- Humans,
Dwarf, Gnome, Night Elf or the Horde- Orc, Tauren, Undead, or
Troll. Each race can have their own class. The Warrior, Paladin,
Mage, Warlock, Rouge, or the Hunter. Some races have special
classes that regular ones don't. The Night Elf (Alliance) can be
a Druid and the Tauren (Horde) can be a shaman. After you have
selected your class and race you start out in a place whatever
your race is. Each place has you embarking on quests which is
actually worth doing them... for the rewards. You can only level
up to combat level sixty and some quests you have to be a
certain level to be before doing them. If you can do a quest but
is to hard you can get an Allie to help with the quest and
usually that helps a lot! Don't worry there are always quests
you can do so the quest hunt will never end. When you do a quest
you get rewarded the harder the quest is the higher your reward
will be.
The combat system in the game never gets old or boring but you
can only level up to sixty. While you get to higher combat
levels the higher weapons and shields and gear but good weapons
and gear don't come cheap this time around. Another thing in
World of Warcraft is the PvP system. PvP (Player versus Player)
realms are when it's every man for himself. If your a low level
I would suggest not to get on one. You can also get on regular
realms but you can still duel people if you kill an Alliance
member and your with the Alliance you get a dishonorable kill
but if you are an Alliance member and kill a Horde guy you get a
honorable kill. Same goes for the Horde too. You can get pets in
this too. Some pets cost a ton but sometimes you can tame one
from the wild. There are millions of pets in World of Warcraft
so I can't name hem all. Sometimes your pet can help you in
battles or serve you in transportation. But depends on what pet
you have. Another thing that I love about the gameplay is the
fact that you can go anywhere you want to. There are so many
places that you can visit cities like Ironforge, Stormwind City,
The Crypts, Barrons, Elwyn Forest and that is only six places
there is like over a million places you can go!
This game was well made and well thought out. It was worth the
three long years waiting for it. But overall this game deserves
9/10 for just one reason. The cpu lags in this game are
FRUSTRATING! If you don't have an up to date computer this thing
will run poorly on your computer. Looking back at the gameplay
it's worth paying fifty dollars for this game. And I also don't
mind paying fifteen dollars for the monthly fee. If you like
MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Paying Game) Then
this game is for you!
